Antique Vintage Cast Iron Ticket Fare Coin Slot Box. Rare and fantastic historical piece, sold as-is. Untested.Estimated to be from around the turn of the century; exact age unknown. Purpose of this piece is also unknown. The box is held together by the top and bottom hinges, with the glass sitting inside the door. Glass has felt at top and bottom. A small lock can be placed on the door. Ventilation holes on the rear. Marked "Pat Apl'd For."Minor red paint loss. In very good condition for its age. Glass is not scratched on the inside. Measures 9"T x 7 1/2" W x 3 1/4" D. Inside space is 7" x 5" x 2 1/4". Weight 4 lb 8 oz.
